Huawei started as a humble contender in the smartphone industry previously dominated by Apple and Samsung. The company is facing a lot of issues recently, including the problem with the US government and the release of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro outside China. Interestingly, the upcoming flagship device from the Chinese tech giant achieved a surprising feat that beats Apple 11 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.
In a recent test conducted by one of the authorities in reviewing smartphone cameras, DXOMark gives the Huawei Mate 30 Pro a score of 121. The score is for the overall camera, which handsomely beat the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G.
Not only that, another Huawei smartphone sweeps a surprise win recently in a different category. DXOMark launches an audio review where Huawei Mate 20 X wins the top score. The Huawei Mate 20 X is a massive phone with a 7.2-inch display and has recently updated with a 5G connectivity version. The device easily beat every other smartphone tested by DXOMark in this particular test.
DXOMark gives high praise to the Huawei phone and claims that it was released as a multimedia powerhouse. It even compares the smartphone to the recently launched Apple flagship device, the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The Huawei Mate 20 X is the top scorer in our Audio tests of all the devices we’ve tested thus far, with its Overall score of 75 besting Samsung’s S10+ by ten points and the Note 10+ by 9. It is also the only Android phone we’ve tested that scored above Apple’s large-screen iPhone XS Max—although only by one point. The Mate 20 X did particularly well when playing back movies and music, achieving a substantially higher score for those use cases than any of the other phones we have tested. While still the top scorer among the Android devices we tested, its performance while gaming was less stellar, and behind both the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The smartphone testing and review company confirms that Huawei phones are well-crafted and provide unique standout features. In other words, it is saying that Huawei phones are a little bit ahead of the curve.
